Storage available close to Hamilton

We have parking bays available in a large lockable shed at Tamahere, close to SH1. Each bay costs $15.00 per week inclusive of GST. We already have some vehicles stored via other car clubs, so we thought some of your members might be looking for covered storage. Thank you, Diana Jones 07 856 5255.

This is a very regretful sale of my beloved Fiat Uno.
He is in magnificent condition and has been pampered and well looked after all his life. No work needed!
Originally from Auckland, since I have had him he has been regularly serviced by Fiat specialists Maurice Thomson Motors and Hutt City European.
Most importantly, there is no rust. That’s right, no rust. That makes him pretty unique for a Mark 2 Fiat Uno.
Other characteristics of the little guy is that he’ll do approximately 50 mpg (21.26km/l) loaded down to the point that there’s no rear vision on a long trip. (photo on Trade Me at this link http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Fiat/auction-340674359.htm )
Around town he is also incredibly economical.
The FIRE engine, as used in this model of Fiat Uno is incredibly reliable, and is renowned for being practically bullet proof. In the unlikely event of a cambelt snap, the engine is non interference, meaning no touching and bending of valves.
He’s very sprightly around town, with a characteristic Italian rasp from the exhaust, a real joy to drive.
He also has limpet like handling due to an excellent chassis and Yokohama A539 tyres.
He’s rolling on Momo Alloys, and has been lowered slightly with aftermarket springs, this helps roadholding significantly, and possibly makes him a little better to look at too!
I’ve done a few things to him to keep him up to scratch, they include:
New Cambelt and Waterpump.
New front suspension bushes and shock absorbers.
New Slave cylinder for clutch
Reconditioned alternator
New Battery
This is really priced to sell, he’s in magnificent condition for his age and mileage, and has a lot of life left him. Don’t be put off by the high KMs regular servicing has negated the effects, and he’s good to go to 1m km.
Come round to check him out, perfect xmas present, first car or indeed only car!
Selling as I now have an Alfa as my day to day car.
Can deliver to pretty much anywhere in the north island on SH1 this weekend for cost of fuel as well, and happy to sort out transport throughout the country if needed.

Mk 1 Fiat Uno Turbo For Sale

I received the following tonight from Mike Lowe, surely one of our people wants to own this little gem.

We purchased this car new in October 1989, it was the very last series 1 Uno Turbo sold by Continental Car Services before the series 2 cars arrived. We have maintained it fastidiously and it has always been garaged and consequently is rust free. It has always had genuine exhaust systems etc and has not been modified in any way.
We have not advertised it on Trade Me as we are only willing to sell to a real Fiat enthusiast who will hopefully continue to look after it properly. We are asking $5000 which considering its condition we think is very realistic.
The total distance travelled is 169000km and has had a recent cam belt, water pump, thermostat and exhaust system
fitted and never needs oil between changes. The tyres are Toyo 175 60 13 in good condition.

Parts for Sale

As is the way of life, the moment I posted Philip’s request for parts, his photos turned up.
The available parts for the Fiat 1100, 103D model include distributors, points, condensers, brushes, new starter motor commutator, fly wheel, pressure plate, timing chain, cylinder head, valves, valve springs, starter bendix (these are rare to find), oil pressure relief valve, fuel pump, brake master cylinder, gear box syncro rings, suspension bushes, cam shaft etc, etc.

A few years ago I sold a 1960 Fiat 1100 (103D) to a person in Christchurch. I understand there are not many of these models in NZ.
I am enquiring if there would be an interest in a number of spares I have for sale for this model. They will fit the 1100 & 1200 models from 1958 to 1963.
